Welcome to KitLively.com!
Hi folks, and thanks for stopping by the internet home of Kit Lively, whose cartoons have been published by MAD, National Lampoon, Cracked, Joe Bob Briggs, Hustler, Troma, Hustler Humor and many others. I hope that your stay here is a pleasant one, but here are a few reasons that it probably won't be:
My Gallery: This is a collection of several dozen of Kit's cartoons, many from the aforementioned publications. So if you've ever wondered what it would be like to look at an issue of Swank without the hassle of wading through all of that pointless female nudity, then this is your big chance! Criminy!
Forums: There's really no reason for this to be here. No one knows who the hell this Kit Lively person is, and those who do are homeless folks who'd rather spend their alloted one-hour on the library computer building their Casey Kasem fan-site. But if you'd like to chat up the other folks who've accidently stumbled upon this site, please do so, and with vigor.
My Book: Hey, why bother with taking the time and effort to click on the My Gallery button to check out Kit's cartoons when you could instead send him seven dollars and fifty cents for his cartoon collection! Yeah, great idea posting so many cartoons in the gallery section. Idiot. Still though, there are probably a couple of dozen cartoons in the book that aren't on the site. Are they any good? Well, they're probably okay. Hey, it's only seven bucks, man! What's your problem?
My Bio: What's your favorite thing to do when you accidentally stumble onto the web-site of some goofball that you've never heard of? If you answered: "Why, quickly absorb some biographical info about him!", then you're in for a treat! Of course, by that definition, having a cheese grater wedged into your bottom would be considered a treat as well. But to each his own, I suppose.

News: A few delectable and enticing morsels of love for you!

It has recently come to my attention that both women and gay males enjoy my work (which would explain why my parents have always been so supportive). Although most women still make it a general rule to stay as far away from my person as possible, cartoon enjoyment notwithstanding, I was able to find some gay fellows that would tolerate my loathesome presence long enough for a short interview. The results can be found at: Comic Book Queers.com(it's Episode 35).
And hey, more people are publishing my cartoons in their find periodicals! When will they learn? When will you? If it's going to take another slap or two across the kisser to wake you up, you may find just the right tonic in the pages of the latest issues of Girls and Corpses magazine (www.girlsandcorpses.com) and Hustler Humor.

News: New National Lampoon Book Store Signing
|
|
National Lampoon's Not Fit For Print will go on sale Tuesday, April 3rd, and to celebrate and promote this truly shameful occassion, I'll be at Zeus Comics on Wednesday, March 28th to sell and sign copies. This will be your chance to not only grab a copy almost a week before it's unleashed upon the general public, but at a reduced price! I'll also have copies of National Lampoon's Favorite Cartoons of the 21st Century, and I believe they're being sold at a very reasonable price as well! Too good to be true? Well, yeah. As I said, I'll be there in the store, which will probably require some sort of awkward and uncomfortable conversation exchange. But it's a comic shop, and socially awkward people of all types are not only welcome, but expected. Here's the info you'll need: Zeus Comics Turtle Creek Village 3878 Oaklawn Ave. Suite 100E Dallas, Tx 75219 (214) 219-TOYS

... and by "shows" I mean "comic book conventions". "Shows" just sounds a little less nerdy. But who do I think I'm kidding, right?
March 3rd of this year will find me at Staple! The Independent Media Expo in Austin, Tx. I'll have copies of lots of stuff that feature my cartoons, including the recent National Lampoon book, Favorite Cartoons of the 21st Century, plus copies of MAD, Hustler Humor and my cartoon collection, Dammit! I Swallowed Another One! Check out the Staple site for other details at www.staple-austin.org.
A couple of weeks after that I'll probably have sobered up enough from Staple to attend All-Con, which is being held March 16th, 17th and 18th. And if I haven't sobered up by then, I'll probably still be in the bar of the hotel where the show is being held, so come on by there to say hello. I'll have the aforementioned mags and books at this show as well, plus copies of the brand-spanking new National Lampoon book, Not Fit For Print. I haven't seen a copy yet, but I hear that it's jaw-droppingly offensive and hilarious (my cartoons notwithstanding), so come on by and grab a copy. Ya dig?
